To all the Fitness enthusiasts out there! Tired of going through the same fitness routine everyday? Bored of it?! This is written especially keeping you in mind. Going through the same training becomes as dull as eating the same food every day. So here are some HOT fitness trends likely to become hugely popular in 2020.
Every year at about this time each year we do our research, the trends get more and more futuristic and in some cases more and more far-fetched, and this is definitely the case for next year. Read on as we take you on a journey to discover the fitness trends in 2020:
1) Yoga HIIT
Another yoga hybrid that’s set to hit our fitness classes in 2020 is Yoga HIIT. And yes, it seems like an unlikely pairing, after all, yoga is all about those Zen vibes and HIIT, well that’s basically the other end of the scale, with short sharp bursts of high intensity, high energy moves, which leaves you collapsed in a sweaty heap come the end of a session. But the thing is, we’re forever being told to mix up our workouts to make sure we’re using a variety of different muscle groups and to keep the body on its toes so to speak.
Instead of doing 20 minutes of HIIT and then rounding it off with 20-minute yoga cool down, Yoga HIIT intersperses classic cardio HIIT moves with yoga stretches. This increases the calorie burn whilst also lengthening and strengthening your muscles at the same time. A great option for time-poor people who want all over results without having to do a million and one different exercise classes.
“Yoga is an amaranthine training tool and a way of life,
if you find regular yoga boring then these fusion yoga schools
can definitely help you learn this amazing Indian art of fitness.”
2) Group Training
Group training is defined as an exercise with five or more participants with instructor teaching and motivating the class. Group training is an excellent way to train socially. We are social animals and we need company and competition to bring the best out of us. Training with a friend or friends can be a great way to exercise whilst developing other friendships and to also reduce some of the self-consciousness and anxiety of exercising alone in a room full of strangers.
3) Gin Yoga
We’ve seen all manners of fad yoga trends come out over the years; goat yoga, heavy metal yoga, beer yoga, alpaca yoga, so it was only a matter of time before someone saw sense to mix these two yummy mommies- Gin+Yoga together. Now you’d be forgiven for thinking that quaffing down a load of gin whilst downward dogging is a recipe for disaster, but the idea is that gin helps to loosen the muscles and therefore allows you to relax into a pose better. It really is that simple!
4) Personal Training:
Personal training is becoming hugely popular with people who have distinct targets in mind like weight loss or gain, building muscular strength, helping the body to recover from illness or accident. This basically involves a qualified personal trainer who will take care of everything like your workout, diet and even routine.
5) Functional Training
Functional training is for strengthening the core rather than just weight loss. It works on movements such as squatting, lifting, pulling, reaching, etc. and can be done with or without the use of equipment. It’s great because it offers a variety of movement, which means you’re much less likely to get bored with it and there’s a much bigger focus on making your body stronger and make you feel good about it.
You can mix-up these trends with your regular workout
and can enjoy a cocktail of exercises.
6) Training with Gadgets & AI:
This training includes wearing a lot of gadgets such as pulse monitors and heartbeat trackers. New Data-driven technology is going to make it better and especially helpful for people suffering from ailments like diabetes, cardio problems and much more.
7) Mindful Running
The running industry has grown at a ridiculously fast rate over the past few years. From couch to 5k, Park Run, various charity races and public marathons have made people fall in love with running once again. However, next year there is going to be a much bigger focus on combining elements of meditation without usual training.
Mindful running trains you to focus on your posture, your breathing, your surroundings and the people around you, to create a running experience that is pressure-free and pleasurable. 2020 is less about the number of miles and more about the quality.
8) All Day Workouts
Working out ALL day is adding exercise at regular points throughout your day so that it fits into your daily routine better. Rather than taking time out of your day to squeeze in a 30-minute training, in 2020, we’re going to be splitting it up into smaller segments. Like you might do some yoga stretches when you first get up in the morning, go for a walk during your lunch break and then do a 5 or 10-minute session of bodyweight exercises in the evening. This method helps keeps our body moving and working all day.
There’s nothing more precious than a healthy body and regular workouts with various sets makes exercise more interesting and healthier for our body.
