You look fitter than ever. Where do you find your daily fitness inspiration?
I find my daily inspiration in the mirror and in the way I feel every morning. If I am feeling lethargic it means I am not fit.
Following a celebrity to reach one’s fitness goals is very motivating for many. What is your diet approach for yourself and how can your followers make this a part of their diet too?
I avoid processed food and sugars! I try to eat at home as much as possible! And keep my diet as easy as possible. I don’t restrict too many things I just try to find healthier substitutes.
What is your specific workout regimen and how often do you exercise?
I exercise 5 times a week. I do Pilates, yoga and some weights.
Pilates is great for strengthening and toning with a focus on your core and for increasing your flexibility. Yoga is a total mind-body workout that combines strengthening and stretching poses with deep breathing and meditation or relaxation while weights help to improve your muscular endurance
How do you motivate yourself to workout or eat healthy when you are not feeling like it?
When I don’t feel like it, I remind myself that the first 5 minutes are the hardest and after that, you feel great and energized. Also, I put on some great music that gets me motivated.
Speed and tempo are the two most important factors that affect exercise intensity. It is ideal to start your warm-up with a slower song and gradually increase the speed according to the type of exercise you will be doing.
when you are inspired you are more likely to exercise and maintain motivation. From aiding performance to pushing your workout intensity just a little bit further, music greatly influences movement.

What advice do you have for women who are looking to lose weight or beginning an exercise routine?
Lack of time is one of the biggest barriers, but it’s also about making workouts a priority. Scheduling time in your day like you would an appointment can help you do that. My best advice is to start and be consistent. Keep going no matter what!
What are your healthy living tips?
People sometimes tend to make a habit of “emotional eating” to suppress and soothe negative feelings. They may even feel guilt or shame after eating this way, leading to a cycle of excess eating and associated issues like weight gain. A healthy living tip is to just be aware and eat consciously. Don’t eat with greed or emotion.
What does finding “your happy place” mean to you? Do you feel like you’ve found it?
My happy place is my space wherever I create it, it could be at home or in a hotel. It’s just that spot where you feel completely at ease and where you can be yourself.
Please share with us your bucket list for 2019.
I have a very long bucket list. But this is just the top of it! To dive as much as I can this year and hopefully see a whale shark. To go to Paris. To write. To learn. To get really strong! To create happy memories and surround myself with good energy.
“Awareness and education is
the key to conscious living.”
The Population of India is very enormous. Enforcing a law is next to impossible if the people of India are not willing to join hands together. How can we motivate people to take up this cause to fight climate change? What do you think is the best way to go about it?
The sad part is that people will start doing something to change it only if they are affected by it. When mothers realize their children are falling sick and farmers understand their crops are dying- all as an aftermath of climate change, only then will they start wanting change. But this should not be so. The common man should be made aware of the negatives and the impact on their lives due to the excesses we are indulging in. It is a slow process, but with efforts in the right direction will definitely give fruits.
How, according to you, can we inculcate sustainable living in our daily lives?
Grow your own food as much as possible. Be conscious and avoid one-time-use plastic and polythene. Avoid soaps and shampoos with plastic enzymes.
We would very much like to know your perspective on eco-friendliness?
I feel very strongly about it, as I love nature and living in harmony with the environment. This is the reason I started my NGO called Stamp which is all about reconnecting man with nature through garden programs in cities and school programs where children start caring and understanding more about trees and our environment. Awareness and education is the key to conscious living.
