“Men”vironmentally Friendly
Men are well known to be shopaphobics. Who could have imagined they still are not environmentally friendly? Watson & Wolfe are here to change the landscape of shopping for men with their vegan products.
We don’t hear men say “what do I wear today?” or “I have nothing to wear!” even though they own a fraction of clothing and accessories than women do. This should make them very eco-friendly, we think. But surprise, surprise!! Men are the hardest to ‘green’.
So then “Why?” The answer is very simple: there are hardly any brands that manufacture eco-friendly products. Men who are ethically and environmentally conscious cannot shop with luxury accessories brands because they all use leather. Leather is not environmentally friendly and the impact of growth in the sector is grossly unsustainable.
Introducing Watson & Wolfe- our knight in shining armor, albeit a vegan one!

Men are the hardest to ‘green’, so we want to make the switch to sustainable, cruelty free accessories easy. By making a product which looks feels and lasts like its leather counterpart, I believe we can provoke a change in attitude and encourage more men to shop sustainably.
The most important thing for me is quality and construction. Everything we design wears well and lasts a long time. It is also vitally important that the materials we use are not only the highest quality, but that they are the most sustainable available in this sector right now.
Our materials are durable and water resistant, but more importantly, the whole process of production and manufacturing has been as low-impact and waste free as is possible in this industry right now.
”The quality, craftsmanship and finish are comparable
to a leather accessory. We are offering eco-luxury
like you’ve never seen before. We are just getting
started, but we plan to add new items to
the collection three times a year.”
”Even the zip tape on our travel wallets
is made from recycled plastic bottles!”
Science behind our products:
Our veg leather is made with more than 50% BIO plant material from renewable sources. The base plant material is a corn called yellow dent, which is carbon neutral and is grown to produce ethanol and in other manufacturing. It is not edible and it therefore not diverting food away from human consumption.
A type of oil is extracted from corn, which is called Bio Polyol. In a process of chemical reaction, the Bio Polyol is combined resulting in a highly durable material. Then a layer of PU is added over the top to create the color, finish and durable qualities for the various applications.
The lining we use is made from 100% post-consumer recycled plastic bottles. This is done in Taiwan actually, because this is where we found the highest quality and the cleanest production process.
All our raw material factories harness green energy and have efficient systems for solvent and air exhaust. The effect on the surrounding environment is as low as it could feasibly be. We chose our suppliers carefully because we want them to care as much as we do about the impact their businesses have on the planet.

”Post manufacturing is easier than with leather.
The materials we use are scratch and water resistant,
so they require a fraction of the packaging.”
I think Watson & Wolfe is indicative of how all fashion needs to be. We believe the consumer market must evolve to be fully sustainable, with cruelty-free supply and manufacturing, better working conditions for people and less reliance on our planet’s resources.
